Hydrolysed collagen

Collagen is a protein made naturally by an animal’s cells. It is responsible for forming the structural fibres of connective tissue and for providing strength and elasticity to the cartilage, tendons, bones, skin, etc. With age, cells lose their ability to synthesize collagen, so it is recommended that it be added to diets in the form of hydrolysed collagen. These small units are more easily digested and absorbed in the intestines.
