The time has come for you to stop using doggy nappies with your puppy

The time has come for you to stop using doggy nappies with your puppy

You will need lots of patience until your puppy learns to urinate and defecate in the right place. You must get into your head that this is a long process that requires a great deal of patience.

The first and most important thing is to choose the right place where your puppy will be allowed to relieve itself. You can choose a sandy place, like a corner in the backyard or a hard place, like a balcony, but it must always be the same place.

It is important to set a fixed schedule, considering that puppies need to relieve themselves every 3 hours approximately; do not forget to walk your dog to the selected place and

congratulate and reward it every time it gets to relieve itself therein. This way, you will win your puppy's confidence and it will come to understand that it is quite more advantageous to urinate and defecate in the place selected for that purpose. Over time, this action will become a habit and rewards will no longer be necessary.

When your puppy has learned this to perfection it is the right time to take it out and teach it to urinate and defecate outdoors. This is a habit that it will have to learn progressively, and where you will require a great deal of patience. When your puppy learns this new process, you will have to take it out at least three times a day: mornings, midday and at night. You will have to set a fixed schedule in order to create a routine for your dog.

So, get ready because the best is yet to come!
